Arrival: This is located in the Times Square area. Was staying at the Westin in Times Square and this is literally across the street. Look for the flag Fushimi or you might miss the place. From the outside, it does not look like anything and then you open the doors and you are blown away by the interior and decor. Food: Came here for dinner. Ordered appetizers of shishito peppers - these were actually hot and had a great flavor and texture. Or the chef special of sushi and sashimi. WOW! for presentation! The platter came out with dry ice so the smoke of the dry ice really made the presentation and then you saw the amount of sushi and sashimi, what a great price for the amount of food. $66. If I had one critique, the sashimi is served with shaved daikon radish. I grew up in Japan and daikon radish served there with sashimi is more crisp. This daikon radish was a bit too water logged for my taste, but everything else was delicious! Lunch: I loved this place so much, I came back the next day for lunch. So generous for lunch. You get a soup. I got the chicken soup. The broth was clear, the seaweed was perfect, the chicken meatballs were bland, but you need that since the broth is a bit salty. It works. I got a seaweed salad as my next item. It was the best seaweed salad I have had because it had the right texture and not too sweet and the balance of acid to oil was perfect. Then I got the sushi and sashimi platter and again just perfect lunch. The sushi and sashimi is super fresh and a great lunch in NYC and the price is good for the amount of food. Only compliant is that the daikon radish was again water logged and my perilla leaf had a brown spot. I think it was a misstep to use a perilla leaf that had a brown spot. Drink: I cannot remember the name but it was like an old fashioned. First sip I did not like, but once the ice melted, the flavors really came together and delicious and highly recommend. Cleanliness: above average for both the restaurant and bathrooms

Both delicious. Our waiter explained all the differences Food was fresh and delicious. I would order all the same things. Would like to return!

I've been here TWICE in a month already because I love it so much. The ambiance is stunning, and it has the right amount of acoustics so it's not too loud. This paired with the lighting and the beautiful interior makes it a perfect date spot or a place to catch up with someone. For places this pretty, the food typically is meh unless you're laying a crazy high price point. However the sushi does not disappoint! I've had the surf and turf, the sex on the beach, the fire and ice and the miso Chilean sea bass and they've ALL been so delicious. Service is great and the food comes out super fast. Also great selection of cocktails! Highly recommend the lychee Martini! Will definitely be returning

Beautifully decorated in Japanese theme. Amazing food all around. We had tuna spicy roll, lobster roll, steak, shishito peppers, sake and Chilean sea bass. Wait staff very attentive. Worth a visit.

Get off the busy streets of NYC and unwind, dine, and reset here! Wow, this place is serene and beautiful. AND THE FOOD is amazing! Our hotel concierge recommended the place and it did not disappoint. We tried multiple sushi rolls, even ordering a second round. Appetizers we tried the truffle fries, the seasonal mushrooms and the chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious!
